Hey guys! I used 2 coats of OPI Ski Teal We Drop, took a makeup applicator dipped it into OPI Last Friday Night and dabbed it on the bottom of each nail. I then went in with the 2 butterflies from image plate M78 with Konad's special polish in white and placed them on each nail. Purple Mint Marbling

Hey guys! I am proud to say I have conquered water marbling!!!! With several failed attempts in the past on my record I thought it would never be possible. So I decided I would give it one more chance and if I failed I would let my dreams of marbling go. Thankfully I didn't fail this time and I learned the secret to getting awesome results! USE A LIGHT BASE COLOR! Try these five easy steps I used and see amazing results. I hope you enjoy my step by step tutorial. Make sure you comment and subscribe to see my latest looks!

What I Used:
Essie Mint Candy Apple
Essie Soul Mate
Seche Vite Top Coat
Tape
Q-Tips
Cup of room temperature FILTERED water
Mechanical pencil or Orange Stick
Nail polish remover

FIRST: Paint your nails a base color of either white or a light color. I used two coats of Essie's Mint Candy Apple. Make sure your base color is COMPLETELY DRY before you continue to the next step. Once they are dry tape your fingers off so that only the nails are showing. This will help cut down on the clean up time at the end!

SECOND: Drop in a dot of the first color (Essie's Soul Mate) and then a dot of your second color (Essie's Mint Candy Apple) in the middle of the first dot. keep alternating the colors till you get your desired amount of rings. If it's not spreading well try tapping the cup on the side and if that doesn't work then start over.

THIRD: Take a toothpick or mechanical pencil and make your design in the polish (best results happen if you place the pencil or toothpick in the middle and swipe outwards since the outer ring may be dry).

FOURTH: Once you have your design ready pick which area you like best and stick your nail in the water at a 45 degree angle. Leave your nail in the water and blow on the polish left over for a few seconds. After a few seconds the polish will be dry and you can take a Q-Tip and swirl it around till all the polish is gone and then pull your nail out of the water.

FIFTH: Repeat for the rest of your nails. Once you are done peel off the tape and clean up around your edges with a bit of nail polish remover and a Q-Tip. Throw on your favorite top coat (I LOVE Seche Vite Top Coat) and you are done!

Low Bun with 3rd Day Hair

What I used in my hair:
Water
Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition for Dry, Damaged Hair

What You Will Need:
2 hair ties
handful of bobby pins

First- Spritz your hair with water and add in your conditioner so it's easier to section your hair. Then section your hair from ear to ear and pull the top section of hair up and out of your way. With the bottom section of hair pull into a low bun.

Second- section an inch of hair from the top section of hair twist and pin right above the lower bun.

 Third- repeat the second step

Fourth- take the rest of your hair that's left out bring it straight back and pin it to the top of the lower bun.

Finally make a poof in the front and your done!

Curly Girl Tag

1. What inspired you to go natural or wear your hair curly? My mother! She taught me that I could have the best of both worlds with my hair. I could flat iron it when I was longing for the silky straight hair and then wash it out and have my curly hair.

2. Who are your favorite curly hair idols? Tanika Ray. Her curls are to die for!

3. Which You Tube curly would you trade curls with for a day? Shannon from Thosegirlsarewild. Check them out at http://www.youtube.com/user/thosegirlsarewild?feature=watch

4. If you could have only one product for a year, which product would you chose? Hands down! Kinky Curly Knot Today! This is the best Leave in and detangler I have ever used!

5. If you could change one thing about your curls what would it be? Less frizz!

6. What's the craziest thing you've tried on your "natural hair journey"? Getting the Rihanna inverted bob hair cut.

7. What's your secret ingredient that your curls LOVE the most? A good Deep Conditioner. Right now my curls are loving macadamia deep repair masque.

8. If you could merge two brands of products to make your perfect product, which two would it be? Kinky Curly Knot Today and Eco Styler Gel. Eventhough I hate gel I wish I could have a product that would get rid of the frizz but leave my hair soft like the KCKT does.

9. What is your go-to hair style when you're in a rush? Down, wild and big!

10. If your curly hair had a name, what would it be and why? My hair would be called the Wonder Wig because I can do so much with it. I can have curly, straight, crimped, long, short, up, down, left, right hair whenever I want. If thats not wondrous then I dont know what is ;)

No Heat Challenge and 1st Month Update

Hey guys! I decided to try something new with my hair this year. I have always relied on blow drying or diffusing my super crazy curly hair. So I decided to do a "no heat challenge" to retain more length and get healthier, shinier hair. Right now I would say I'm shoulder length (SL) and my goal is to be mid back length (MBL) by the end of this challenge.
What is a no heat challenge? A no heat challenge is when you do not apply ANY form of heat to your hair for an amount of time ( ie, no blow-dryers, diffusers, hooded dryers, flatirons or curling irons allowed). I started this challenge on December 1st 2011 and will end on December 1st 2012. Yes a whole year! I think I might be crazy!!!
I will do monthly updates telling you how its going and what I'm doing or learning. Also I will do 3 length checks during the year, one before I start, one around June and finally one at the end of the challenge. I encourage everyone to do this challenge with  me and to just have fun! If you have any questions about my hair or my regimen just let me know!
