New Year's Eve Nails

Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you my New Year's Eve manicure! I used Wet n Wild's Black Creme and Give Me A Price Quote from their Coloricon collection. The only this I didn't like was I had to apply three top coats because of the glitter. Other then that both colors are amazing and I want all of the other colors in the Coloricon collection now! Hope you all have a safe and fun night! See you all next year ;)

Plum Night

For years I have been on a quest for a great plum nail polish and I finally found it!!! Revlon's Plum Night is the most gorgeous plum color. The consistency is very watery so I had to apply three coats to get the desired color. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve!

Ruby Ribbon

I was feeling a bit festive today so I decided to wear Revlon's Ruby Ribbon on my nails! This is such a beautiful rich dark red with a bit of shimmer to it. I love this color because you can wear it two different ways. You can wear it as a matte suede like it comes or throw on your favorite top coat and have a glossy finish. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday week!

Green Smokey Eye

Hey Guys! So I decided to come at you with a simple green smokey eye look today. I love this look because you can wear it during the day to work and also when you go out with the girls! I hope you enjoy this tutorial!

What I Used:
Urban Decay Naked and The Dangerous Palette
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Maybelline The Falsies in the color Black Drama
ELF Liquid Eyeliner in Black
ELF  Hypershine  Gloss in the color Joy
Equate Beauty Lotion
Urban Decay Shadow Brush
ELF Professional Defining Eye Brush

First I started off with a nice clean face and just added a bit of the beauty lotion for moisture. Then I applied Urban Decay's Primer Potion all over my eye.

Once that dried I applied The color Naked all over my lid with the Urban Decay Shadow Brush .

With the Urban Decay Shadow Brush I then took the color Mildew from the Urban Decay Dangerous Palette and applied that to my lower lid.

After that I went in with my ELF Professional Defining Eye Brush with the color Buck and defined my crease

Then just add your eyeliner and mascara. I used  ELF Liquid Eyeliner in Black and Maybelline The Falsies in the color Black Drama.

Finally, add your favorite lip gloss or lipstick. I used my favorite lip gloss from ELF's Hypershine collection in the color Joy.

Hope you enjoyed! See you guys next time!

NOTD: Newspaper Nails!!

Hey guys! That's right I jumping on the band wagon and getting hip with the newspaper nails! These were super simple and fun to make. Hope you enjoy and if you try them out yourself post a picture on my facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mixed-Mama/231907843537327

First your going to want to cut 10 paragraphs out of your local newspaper and them them aside with a cup of 70% Isopropyl Alcohol.

Second, pick out and paint your nails with any desired color you would like. I chose OPI's Skull and Glossbones for an more newspaper color.

Next you will dip your nail in the alcohol for 5 seconds. When you take your nail out of the alcohol  place a strip of the newspaper across the nail and press down for several seconds. When you remove the newspaper the image will be transferred onto the nail.

Finally just slap on a top coat to seal in the picture and you are done! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I'll see you next time!

Turquoise & Caicos

I am absolutely in love with this color! Essie's Turquoise & Caicos is the most beautiful turquoise color I've seen. I usually only wear bright colors in the summer time but since I pit this color on my opinion has changed. I say BRIGHT COLORS ALL YEAR ROUND!! You could do so much with this color for winter. You could add snowman, snowballs, snowflakes, have a winter wonderland on your nails.

Significant other color

So I tried to do a more romantic/girly look today but failed horribly! First I had to use 4 coats of O.P.I's significant other color because it was so sheer. Then when I went to stamp my nails the stamp only covered half of my nail. Overall It's very pretty and It's growing on me.

Getting Started!

Hello and welcome to my new blog! I'm really excited to be stepping out of my comfort zone and learning to express myself through the world of blogging! I am very shy so I tend to keep to myself and the same routine every day. So by starting this blog I'm hoping I can break out of this "zone" and discover new things about myself while maybe even helping others. Lets get started!
My name is Jasmine. I'm a 22 year old retail worker stuck in my "I'm only going to work here so I can pay for college" job. I have a beautiful daughter who is about to turn a year old on Halloween and an amazing husband who I married in June of this year. I enjoy anything to do with hair, nails, makeup, fashion, nature, being thrifty or creative.

With this blog I'm really hoping to tap into the hair, nails, fashion and makeup area seeing as I love to watch all the Guru's on YouTube! Well enough rambling....LETS BRING ON THE FUN!
