Purple, Black and Rhinestone Reverse Manicure

Hey guys! I just got my new set of Bundle Monster Rhinestones in the mail so I wanted to try them out! For this look I used 1 coat of Wet N' Wild Black Creme as my base color and then went a bit more then half way up the nail with 2 Coats of Wet N' Wild On a Trip from the Megalast Collection. I applied a thin coat of Seche Vite on top and quickly applied the Bundle Monster Rhinestones in the color clear. These pictures make the rhinestones look huge but in real life they were the perfect size and gave this look an awesome bit of flare! I hope you enjoyed this beautiful look! If you have any suggestions or a request on a nail look you would like for me to try out feel free to e-mail me at mixedmama1031@gmail.com I would love to hear what you guys are thinking!

Manicurist Of Seville

Hey guys! For this look I used 2 coats of OPI Manicurist Of Seville and then I went in with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in the color Whit On and used Image Plate M80. I thought this would be a great look if you have an office job and they allow you to wear red polishes. This look is very simple, elegant and great for any occasion! Hope you enjoyed this look!

Featured Friday

Hey guys! I have a 2 for 1 Featured Friday look sent in by my subscriber Denise Crum! Lets see what she has in store for us on this lovely Friday afternoon!

Denise wanted a bright sunny polish so she used 3 coats of Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI in #250 Lightening and when that was dry she applied 1 thin coat of Sally Hansen Crackle overcoat in #03 Fractures Foil. To seal in this look she used a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength top coat.

Denise  used 1 coat of Hot Topic Blacklight green and on her ring finger she used 1 coat of Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI in Lightning and 2 coats of Revlon sent polish in Orange Fizz. She topped the look off with a coat of Sally Hansen Crackle in Fractured Foil and sealed in the look with a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength top coat.

Thank you so much Denise for sharing these two awesome crackled looks with us! I am loving that color Lightening! Remember If you would like to be featured on my blog send me an email at mixedmama1031@gmail.com with a few pictures and a description of what you did and what you used. Have a wonderful day!

Metallica Butterflies

Hey guys! For this cute spring look I used 2 coats of Wet N' Wild Metallica and then went in and stamped with Wet N' Wild Lavender Creme and used image plate BM09. I love how metallic silver this color is but the only thing I didn't like was how streaky the polish was. What is your favorite metallic silver polish? Hope you enjoyed!

No Heat Challenge 3rd Month Update

Hey guys! I have survived another month without any heat on my hair! Yay!! The only thing that I changed this month was I only washed my hair with shampoo one time instead of my usual once every two weeks. That was a huge fail. My hair had so much build up and was so itchy it was unbearable! I decided that I'm going to go back to shampooing once every other week for next month and maybe once a week once summer hits since I get more dirty with being outside. I decided to up my intake of Biotin from 1,000 mcg to 2,000 mcg. It was going good for the first few weeks and then I started to feel really sick when I took them. I don't know if I didn't have enough food in my stomach when I was taking them or what so for the next month I am going to stop taking them and see how it goes. Other then the Shampooing and upping my intake of Biotin I really didn't switch anything up this month. If you didn't catch last months update go check it out HERE. If you want to start from the beginning then start with month one HERE.

What I did differently this month:
1. Only shampooed my hair once during the month.
2. Upped my intake of Biotin from 1,000 mcg to 2,000 mcg.

Pink Wednesday: Betsey Johnson's Scented Lacquer

Happy Pink Wednesday! Isn't she a beauty?!?! My brother-in-law's girlfriend got me this amazing polish because she wanted to know if it really smelled like Too Too and it does!! How awesome is that?!?! So not only does she smell amazing but she is such a gorgeous color as well!  For this look I applied 2 coats but she could definitely be a 1 coat girl. She glides on so smoothly and is so rich in color. So I started to take pictures of her and my camera could not pick up on her beauty!! She's looking more like a bubble gum pink when she's really more of a fuchsia color. I think it's time to start looking at new cameras!

How I Deep Condition My Curly Hair

Hey guys! Today I'm going to show you how I deep condition my curly hair every week. Growing up I never cared about keeping my hair healthy until after I was pregnant and I started to loose massive amounts of my hair when I would take a shower. At first I just stopped shampooing my hair so much and that seemed to help a tiny bit. After my daughter turned one the shedding started to slow down and I decided to start my no heat challenge. If you would like to join my challenge or haven't read my other posts then go check out Month One and Month Two updates.

WARNING: YOU ARE ENTERING INTO A NO MAKEUP ZONE SO DON'T BE SCARED!

What Products I used
Macadamia Natural Oil  Deep Repair Masque
Shea  Moisture Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie
Proclaim Natural 7 Olive Oil

First, I just rinse my hair so I can get most of the product out and then I section my hair into 4 parts. I apply a half dollar size amount of the Macadamia Natural Oil  Deep Repair Masque to each section and finger comb. Once I am done with each section I twist the section into a Princess Leia bun and secure it with a bobby pin or two.

Second, Once all four sections are nicely saturated and rolled into princess Leia buns I apply my trash bag. You are more then welcome to use a shower cap I just ran out of them so I'm using a small trash bag. Make sure you secure the bag down tight and then push out all the air left in it.

Third, Take a scarf or head wrap and wrap your head up so more heat is created in your plastic cap. If you don't have a scarf or just don't like this step a lot of women sit under a hooded dryer to produce more heat. The heat will open up your hair follicles and allow the deep conditioner to really penetrate the  hair shaft.

Fourth, Let the deep conditioner soak into your hair for at least 30 mins. I like to leave mine in over night but you can always leave it in for a few hours if you really want a good condition. Once your time is up go ahead and rinse the deep conditioner out with lukewarm water and then t-shirt dry ( I don't use a towel on my hair because it crates more frizz. Use a 100% cotton t-shirt when drying your hair to eliminate some frizz).

Finally, add your favorite hair products into your damp hair and seal it in with your choice of oil. I used Shea  Moisture Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie and sealed my ends in with Proclaim Natural 7 Olive Oil. Then let it air dry without touching your curls.

Here is a closer look at my curls after the deep condition and I let it air dry. They are soft, bouncy and ready for the nice weather! Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions, comment or concerns feel free to comment below or you can e-mail me at mixedmama1031@gmail.com

St. Patrick's Day Look #5

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Welcome to my 5th and final look in my 5 days of St. Patrick's Day Mani's! I am so excited with how this water marble turned out! I normally go for a chunky marble so I wanted to change it up a bit. For this water marble I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet and Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI in Mint Sprint. I love marbling with Sally Hansen polishes because they spread out so nice and evenly. If you have never water marbled before or you just want to see an awesome tutorial then go check out my 5 step tutorial HERE. Hope you all are having an awesome St. Patrick's Day!
