St. Patrick's Day Look # 4

Hey guys! Welcome back to day 4 of my 5 days of St. Patrick's Day Mani's. For today's look I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet. I then marbled with Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, Mint Sprint and Fresh Paint's Spruce Street on my ring finger. I am loving having this water marble accent nail! I feel like it makes a simple manicure and gives it a bit of pizzazz. Hope you enjoyed this lovely look! What are you going to wear for the big day tomorrow?

Purple, Pink and Teal Water Marble

Hey guys! Yesterday I was spending time with my two amazing aunts and I did a water marble on one of their nails in two beautiful colors. When I got to my in-laws house and Olivia was running around smacking the dog in the butt with her princess wand, I decided I was going to try a more complicated water marble (complicated for me is using three different colors HAHA). I started off with one coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On and let that dry completely. Then I used SinfulColors Rise and Shine and Wet N' Wild Disturbia and Candy-licious as my three marbling colors. To finish off the look I used one coat of  Crystal Glitter by Jordana over the marbled look. I love throwing glitter over the marbling because I tend to get little air pockets that show my white base color so it makes it less noticeable. I am loving these three colors together! I think I'm going to try out more marbling because I love that look! I hope you enjoyed this look!

Last Friday Night It Was Up To You

Hey guys!My name is MixedMama and I'm addicted to glitter! HAHA for this awesome glitter look I used 2 coats of Nicole by OPI It's Up To You and then 1 coat of Last Friday Night by OPI on top.
I am loving the way this looks!!!! It's Up To You matches beautifully with Last Friday Night and compliments it very well. I love that glitter can dress up your nails if your not wanting to put nail art on them and you don't want to leave them bare. I wonder what Last Friday Night would look like over a pink or yellow base color..... utter awesomeness?!?! I think so!! Are you taking advantage of this beautiful weather? I know I am :) Have a great Sunday!

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Review

Hey guys! When I really started to get into painting my nails I would love to go and Google different colors so I could see what they looked like before I bought them. The first OPI I ever laid eyes on was Lincoln Park After Dark and it was love at first sight! For the life of me I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner! I came across my first love while I was looking at polish online the other day and I convince myself to get it finally! OMG I'm so happy that I bought this color because it is the most beautiful deep plum I have ever seen. It went on so smooth and is definitely a one coat wonder! Who doesn't love that?!?! I cant wait to try this color with a coat of glitter on top or even with a stamp, it's going to be epic! If you don't own this color and you love deep, rich and beautiful plum colors, do yourself a favor and go out and buy this color! You wont regret it!

My Attempt At Making Glitter Nail Polish

Hey guys! I decided to try and make my own glitter polish the other night. I used 3 coats of Sally Hansen Sturdy Sapphire and then one coat of my homemade glitter. For the homemade glitter I used a half empty bottle of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails clear coat and added Sprinklets fun holographic shapes in the dark blue and light blue. When I added the first glitter it looked pretty but I wanted there to be more to it and not just a single color. Then I tried adding a second glitter to the mix and it just stuck to the side of the jar and wouldn't mix with the other glitter. After one night of letting it sit out it's now ruined! Oh well! It was super fun trying to mix the glitters and creating something of my own... even if it only worked for a few hours. I think I will leave it to the professionals from now on ;) Hope you enjoy this look!

Stars and Unicorns

Happy Pink Wednesday! For today's manicure I used one coat of my all time favorite color Candy-licious from Wet N' Wilds Megalast collection. If you have never tried this collection please do yourself a favor and go get every color because every single color is amazing! Then I put one coat of NYC Classic Coral Creme on top and it made my nails this beautiful hot pink color with tons of sparkles! This color made me feel so girly that I had to stamp it with the stars from plate BM21 and the unicorn from plate M28. I am in love with this super girly mani! What do you think? Hope your having a great day!

Leopards and Zebras and Glitter Oh My!

Hey guys! That's right I'm busting out the glitter polishes for you! A while back I bought the Katy Perry OPI Collection because I was obsessed with the look of shatter and I was dying to get my hands on the Teenage Dream polish. When I got the package my friend and I had a girls night and tested out the colors. One stroke in with Teenage Dream and I knew I hated it! It was so thick and sticky and the application of it was horrible. I was so disappointed with the polish and I couldn't send it back so I just pushed it to the back of my collection and forgot about it. Last night I was looking online at all the amazing glitter polishes out and I decided I was going to give Teenage Dream another try. I'm so glad I did because it is my new love! I don't know what it is now... maybe my new love for glitter or that I have matured with my polish skills and I know how to apply it now lol. Whatever the answer may be I'm so excited that I kept it! For this look I used 1 coat of Wet N' Wild Sugar Coat and 2 coats of OPI Teenage Dream. I then went in with Konads Special Polish in Black and stamped image plate M78 and sealed in my look with my Seche Vite Top Coat. I was having such a hard time stamping last night, I don't know if it was because of the glitter or what but my images were only coming half off. So frustrating! I hope you enjoyed this look! What is your favorite glitter polish right now?

Abstract Nails

Hey guys! Today's look makes me think of when you go to the art museum and you're standing at that one painting that just looks like a bunch lines and a blob and you're really trying to understand it but really don't. Well that's what my nails are doing to me right now and I love it! I used 2 coats of SinfulColors Dream On and then went in with Konads Special Polish in Black and stamped plate M64. I'm in love with the color Dream On and I didn't know this until I started painting my nails but it drys almost matte!!! I was so excited because I have been wanting a matte finish polish! It's like if matte and shine had a love child, I wish I would have taken a picture :( What do you think about matte finish nail polish?

For this look I used 2 coats of SinfulColors Rise and Shine and then I used 2 coats of Funky Fingers Down To Earth on top. I then sealed in in with my Seche Vite Top Coat (which is getting kind of thick...BOO). I'm really liking this look and can't wait to try it out in a darker color! Hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday!

Gold Leopard Print

Hey guys! For today's look I started off with 3 coats of Wet N' Wild Megalast in the color Sugar Coat. I then went in with Konads Special Polish in the color Black and stamped the leopard print off of image plate M57. After staring at the design for hours I felt like is was lacking something but I wasn't sure what it was. I started by putting a stripe going diagonally along the design with SinfulColors nail art in Pot O Gold and I knew I really messed it up. In a panic I tried filling in the some of the open dots with the gold polish as well but it really didn't help the problem. Looking back I realized I really should have just left it alone hahaha. Even though this isn't my favorite I can't complain, it's not that bad. Hope you guys are having a great day!
